Nurse Clinics

Our highly qualified nurses deal with a range of conditions and health concerns. They run various clinics for chronic disease management and are involved in health screening programs. Other services they provide include cervical smear clinics, holiday vaccination and seasonal influenza vaccination

Antenatal

Tuesday 1.30pm- 4.00pm

This clinic is run by a midwife. As soon as you become pregnant see your GP who will contact your midwife to arrange a booking appointment. The midwife will initially arrange for a scan, ask you a few questions and carry out some general health checks. You will be seen regularly throughout your pregnancy either at the practice or at the local hospital, or both.

Child health and immunisation

Thursday 1.00pm – 4.00pm

Please remember to register your baby as soon as possible after birth. All new babies are invited for regular check-ups from eight weeks of age onwards.

Diabetes/Asthma/Coronary Heart Disease/Hypertension/Stroke and COPD

 Patients will be invited into these clinics led by our nursing team under doctor supervision. Annual check-ups aimed at monitoring the condition and maximising treatment to achieve health objectives will be offered.

Stopping smoking

Appointments are available for giving advice, treatment and support to patients trying to give up smoking.
