YOU SAID, WE DID. OUTCOMES FROM OUR 6 MONTHLY REVIEW OF PATIENT FEEDBACK
Every six months we review the feedback you, our patients, have given to us. We make improvements to our services based on your feedback, so we can offer you a better service.
Here's what we did over the past 6 months, based on what you said.....
“It can be hard to get a same-day appointment”
“It’s not clear under what circumstances it is considered appropriate to ask to be seen by a GP the same day”
WHAT WE DID
We have increased the number of same-day appointments per GP per session (morning or afternoon) from 3 to 4 each day
Our GPs have agreed a common approach for same-day appointments, so patients have the same experience each time
We have guaranteed that any patient who wants it, will have their case reviewed that same-day by a GP
“Continuity of care with the same GP is important”
WHAT WE DID
We have formed good relationships with a small number of excellent locum GPs, who work for the practice on a regular basis whilst we seek to recruit permanent GPs
We publish details on our waiting room screen and our website about all our GPs and the days they work at the practice
“It’s hard to book a non-urgent appointment”
WHAT WE DID
We now publish on-line and in the waiting room, indicative waiting times for an appointment with each clinician
We have extended opening hours on Thursday to 8pm
We have extended the GPs bookable dates so they can book you in for follow up reviews more easily
