At Layton medical Centre, we are committed to providing accessible healthcare services to all our patients, including those with disabilities or additional needs.

We aim to ensure that everyone can access our facilities and communicate with our team effectively.

Our Facilities

  • Step-free, floor-level entrance
    Our main entrance is level with the pavement, allowing easy access for wheelchair users, pushchairs, and those with mobility difficulties.
  • Accessible toilet
    A fully accessible toilet is available on the ground floor for patients who require it.
  • Lift to first floor
    A passenger lift is available to access administrative areas located on the first floor.
  • Accessible car parking space
    We provide a designated accessible parking space.

Communication Support

  • Hearing loop
    A hearing loop system is installed at reception and in consultation rooms for patients with hearing aids.
  • Language Line
    We can arrange telephone interpreting services for patients who prefer to communicate in a language other than English.
  • Sign language interpreter
    We can arrange for a qualified hearing (British Sign Language) interpreter for patients with hearing impairments. Please let us know in advance if this is required so we can arrange it for your appointment.
  • Braille                                                                                                                                                                                                                      We have our Practice leaflet,  with information on our services, how to book an appointment, chaperone and our Practice team available in braille. We also have our complaints procedure available to read in braille format.  Please ask at reception for a copy to read.

If you have any specific accessibility needs or require additional support, please inform a member of our team when booking your appointment. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and make your visit as comfortable as possible.
